Abstract: This article reflects on the historical erasure of works by female authors in Ceará's literature and the pedagogical experience developed with high school students to bring visibility to these silenced voices. Through a teaching approach grounded in the perspective of textual genres and the appreciation of diversity, activities were designed to promote critical reading and text production based on works by female authors from Ceará. The study revealed that exposure to these literary productions expanded the students' cultural repertoire and fostered significant reflections on identity, representativity, and gender equity. Data analysis showed increased student engagement and a shift in their perception of women's role in local literature, emphasizing the need for pedagogical practices committed to inclusive and civic-minded education.
