RECIFE FRIO E O RECIFE NOS CURTAS-METRAGENS DE KLEBER MENDONÇA FILHO
Tomando como ponto inicial o
curta-metragem Recife Frio (2009), de Kleber
Mendonça Filho, este trabalho pretende analisar
a representação da cidade de Recife na trajetória
fílmica deste diretor, buscando entender como
a capital pernambucana é apresentada tanto no
falso documentário Recife frio, quanto em suas
obras anteriores. Para isso, o texto se utiliza de
conceitos discutidos por Cecília Almeida Salles,
em seu livro Gesto Inacabado, buscando
perceber na trajetória do realizador, aspectos do
seu Projeto Poético. Portanto, esta análise tem
como ponto central apresentar como a cidade
de Recife está presente nas diversas obras do
diretor Kleber Mendonça Filho, e como o espaço
e o tempo em que ele está inserido interferem
diretamente nos seus filmes.

Abstract:
Taking Kleber Mendonça Filho’s
short film Recife Frio (2009) as a starting point,
this paper intends to analyze the representation
of the city of Recife in the filmic trajectory
of this director, seeking to understand how
the Pernambuco capital is presented in both
the fake documentary Recife Frio, as in his
previous works. For this, the text uses concepts
discussed by Cecília Almeida Salles, in her
book Unfinished Gesture, seeking to perceive
in the trajectory of the director aspects of his
Poetic Project. Therefore, this analysis has as
its central point to present how the city of Recife
is present in the various works of director Kleber
Mendonça Filho, and how the space and time
in which he is inserted directly interfere with his
films.
