RECEPTIVIDADE ESTIGMÁTICA, VIABILIDADE E GERMINAÇÃO IN VITRO DO PÓLEN DA ESPÉCIE Delonix regia (Bojerex Hook.) Raf. NA UNIVERSIDADE ESTADUAL DE FEIRA DE SANTANA – UEFS
A espécie Delonix regia
(BojerexHook.) Raf. conhecida popularmente
como flamboyant apresenta potencial
ornamental, alimentício e medicinal. É uma
espécie bastante estudada pelo mundo,
contudo no Brasil as pesquisas ainda são
escassas. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar
a viabilidade e a germinação in vitro do pólen
e a receptividade estigmática da espécie. As
flores foram coletadas no período da manhã,
em plantas localizadas no módulo um, na
Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana
(UEFS), sendo avaliadas cinco plantas em um
total de 29 presentes no respectivo módulo.
Para a viabilidade polínica, foram adotados
os testes com os corantes: lactofenol azul de
anilina, tetrazólio e carmim acético. Para a taxa
de germinação ocorreu a exposição dos grãos
de pólen em dois meios de cultura: (M1) meio
BCa e (M2) meio BMg. Para a receptividade, os
estigmas foram imersos assim que retirados em
Placas de Petri contendo Peróxido de Hidrogênio
(PH) a 3%. O melhor corante para avaliar a
viabilidade do pólen foi o lactofenol, com um
índice de 95.6% de polens viáveis, contudo vale
ressaltar que todos apresentaram altas taxas de
coloração. Enquanto que para a germinação, os
meios de cultura não apresentaram diferença
significativa. No entanto, a receptividade
estigmática apresentou taxas acima de 80% em
todos os indivíduos avaliados. Assim, conclui-se
que são necessários mais estudos e que levem
em consideração outros aspectos da biologia
reprodutiva da espécie.

Abstract:
The species Delonix regia (Bojerex Hook.) Raf. popularly known as
flamboyant presents ornamental, food and medicinal potential. It is a species well
studied by the world, however in Brazil the researches are still scarce. The objective of
this study was to evaluate the viability and in vitro germination of pollen and the stigmatic
receptivity of the species. The flowers were collected in the morning, in plants located
in module one, in the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS), being evaluated five
plants in a total of 29 present in the respective module. For the pollen viability, the tests
with the dyes were adopted: lactophenol blue of aniline, tetrazolium and carmine acetic.
For the germination rate, the pollen grains were exposed in two culture media: (M1)
medium BCa and (M2) medium BMg. For receptivity, the stigmas were immersed as
they were withdrawn in Petri dishes containing 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (PH). The best
dye to evaluate the viability of pollen was lactophenol, with a rate of 95.6% of viable
pollen, however it is worth mentioning that all presented high staining rates. While
for the germination, the culture media did not present significant difference. However,
stigmatic receptivity presented rates above 80% in all individuals evaluated. Thus, it
is concluded that further studies are necessary and that they take into account other
aspects of the reproductive biology of the species.
