Abstract: Nursing practice requires specific clinical skills that are constantly evolving. Clinical simulation emerges as a crucial pedagogical element, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical context without exposing clients to unsafe care. Provides a safe space to explore various clinical scenarios, promoting the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a controlled environment. Simulation also highlights the importance of teamwork and effective communication. However, the effective implementation of clinical simulation faces challenges such as the availability of adequate resources, mastery of pedagogical strategy, and involvement of all stakeholders in the process. Virtual reality in healthcare is an innovative tool with the potential to revolutionize how healthcare professionals deliver care. It can be applied in various clinical contexts, from training healthcare students to treating clients. One of the most promising applications of virtual reality is healthcare professional training. In this way, active and experiential learning is promoted, increasing perception of self-efficacy and competence in addressing the complexity and uncertainty of reality in healthcare contexts.
