Abstract: The integration of smartphones in the classroom has the potential to enrich student learning with high-quality content; however, their use alone does not ensure full engagement with these resources. This study investigates the application of Augmented Reality (AR) as a tool to make physics education more interactive and effective. Utilizing Unity and Vuforia platforms, an Android application was developed to enable the visualization of virtual objects superimposed onto the physical environment, facilitating the study of geometric optics. As a complementary instructional resource, a guide containing visual markers was created, allowing students to interact with three-dimensional models during lessons and deepen their understanding of physical concepts.
