REABILITAÇÃO ESTÉTICA E FUNCIONAL NA DENTIÇÃO DECÍDUA: RELATO DE CASO CLÍNICO
INTRODUÇÃO: perda precoce de dentes decíduos anteriores está relacionada ao comprometimento estético funcional podendo causar alterações fonéticas e o desenvolvimento de hábitos parafuncionais. Tão importante quanto a reabilitação do paciente, é a escolha adequada do tipo de aparelho protético. OBJETIVO: relatar os passos operatórios de um caso clínico de reabilitação estética e funcional de uma criança com aparelho fixo anterior (prótese parcial fixa) que teve perda precoce de dentes anteriores decíduos. RELATO DE CASO: sexo masculino, três anos de idade, apresentava-se incomodada, introspectiva e calada em virtude da perda precoce dos dentes 51 e 61. O planejamento foi instalação de uma prótese parcial fixa. Bandas ortodônticas foram selecionadas para os segundos molares decíduos superiores, e foi realizada a moldagem de transferência com alginato. Seguindo, as bandas foram removidas dos dentes e transferidas para o molde superior. Os moldes foram vazados com gesso pedra, obtendo-se os modelos de trabalho. Selecionou-se a cor dos dentes e os modelos foram enviados para o laboratório para confecção da prótese. O aparelho foi confeccionado sobre o modelo com um fio ortodôntico 0,9mm com ondulações na região dos dentes anteriores perdidos para maior retenção da resina acrílica. A cimentação do aparelho foi feita com cimento de ionômero de vidro para cimentação (KETAK-Cem®) sob isolamento relativo. A oclusão foi então devidamente checada. CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS: o aparelho fixo anterior foi bem aceito pela criança além de ter sido de baixo custo, fácil confecção e instalação.

Early loss of anterior deciduous teeth is related to functional aesthetic impairment and may cause phonetic alterations and the development of parafunctional habits. As important as the patient's rehabilitation is the proper choice of the type of prosthetic device. OBJECTIVE: To report the operative steps of a clinical case of aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of a child with the anterior fixed appliance (fixed partial denture) who had early loss of deciduous anterior teeth. CASE REPORT: Three-year-old male patient was uncomfortable, introspective and silent due to early loss of teeth 51 and 61. The planning was to install a fixed partial denture. Orthodontic bands were selected for the upper second deciduous molars, and transfer molding with alginate was performed. Next, the bands were removed from the teeth and transferred to the upper mold. The molds were cast with stone plaster, obtaining the working models. The teeth color was selected and the models were sent to the laboratory to make the prosthesis. The appliance was made on the model with a 0.9mm orthodontic wire with undulations in the region of the anterior teeth lost for greater retention of the acrylic resin. The cementation of the apparatus was made with glass ionomer cement for cementation (KETAK-Cem®) under relative isolation. The occlusion was then properly checked. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The anterior fixed appliance was well accepted by the child, and it had low cost, easy preparation, and installation.
