Abstract: Objective: to report a clinical case of aesthetic rehabilitation through direct composite veneers on anterior teeth with multiple failed restorations and color disharmony. Case report: a 57-year-old female patient reports dissatisfaction with the color and shape of the anterior teeth. Clinical examination of the anterior teeth revealed failed composite resin restorations, unsatisfactory coronary proportions, enamel fractures, and decayed proximal caries lesion. The treatment proposal for aesthetic rehabilitation of the smile included previous dental bleaching and direct composite veneers on teeth 13,12, 11, 21, 22 and 23, using light-cured composite resin with suprananometric particles (Estelite Omega, Tokuyama), through a layer technique. Discussion: direct composite veneers through a layer technique produces an adequate aesthetic result, being possible to reproduce optical properties inherent to natural teeth. Current composite resins have satisfactory mechanical and optical properties; it has uniform and monodisperse suprananometric filler particles, which guarantees excellent characteristics and maintenance of surface luster. Conclusion: Direct composite veneers improved the aesthetic rehabilitation of the patient's smile, proving to be a conservative, low cost technique that achieved the aesthetic and functional results. The chosen composite demonstrated excellent handling consistency and polishing gloss.
