RASTREX – SISTEMA DE RASTREAMENTO VEICULAR
O presente artigo apresenta o desenvolvimento e implementação do sistema RASTREX. Trata-se de uma plataforma integrada e configurável, que possibilita o rastreamento e localização de veículos em tempo real. No desenvolvimento do sistema foi empregada a metodologia interativa e incremental, fazendo o uso de três módulos básicos, sendo eles: aquisição de dados Global Position System (GPS), envio de dados General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) e apresentação dos dados (implementação do web servisse). Os testes e resultados obtidos confirmam a viabilidade do sistema RASTREX para o monitoramento e rastreamento de veículos.

Abstract:
This article presents the development and implementation of the RASTREX system. It is an integrated and configurable platform, which makes it possible to track and locate vehicles in real time. In the development of the system, an interactive and incremental methodology was used, making use of three basic modules, namely: Global Position System (GPS) data acquisition, General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) data transmission and data presentation (implementation of the web served). The tests and results obtained confirm the viability of the RASTREX system for vehicle monitoring and tracking.
