RÂNULA MERGULHANTE: RELATO DE CASO
Descrever as características do diagnóstico de rânula mergulhante acerca dos aspectos clínicos, histológicos e patológicos, bem como os tipos de tratamentos disponíveis e suas respectivas vantagens. Paciente do sexo feminino, 55 anos, compareceu a Clínica Escola de Odontologia queixando-se de tumefação dolorosa em boca que surgiu há aproximadamente seis meses. Ao exame intraoral, verificou-se a presença de uma lesão bolhosa unilateral na região de assoalho bucal, única, de coloração normocrômica, translúcida, superfície lisa, com limites nítidos, formato esférico, móvel, flutuante, séssil, não infiltrativa, com dor estimulada, medindo 1x0.5x1 centímetros. A realização da biópsia é de fundamental importância para confirmação do diagnóstico. O cirurgião-dentista deve estar atento as características clínicas, imaginológicas e anatomopatológicas, a fim de propor o tratamento mais adequado e que promova o melhor prognóstico ao paciente.

Abstract:
Describe the characteristics of the diagnosis of plunging ranula about the clinical, histological and pathological aspects, as well as the types of treatments available and their respective advantages. A 55-year-old female patient attended the Dental School Clinic complaining of a painful swelling in the mouth which appeared approximately six months before. The intraoral examination revealed the presence of an unilateral bullous lesion in the floor region of the mouth, single, of normochromic color, translucent, smooth surface, with clear limits, spherical shape, mobile, floating, sessile, non-infiltrative, with stimulated pain, measuring 1x0.5x1 centimeters. Performing a biopsy procedure is of fundamental importance to confirm the diagnosis. The dental surgeon must be aware of the clinical, imaging and anatomopathological characteristics in order to propose the most appropriate treatment that allows the better prognosis for the patient.
