Abstract: This article explores Lev S. Vygotsky's sociocultural theory and its contributions to understanding emotions in the context of early childhood education, with an emphasis on ethno-racial issues. Through Vygotsky's perspective, we seek to highlight social and cultural interactions in the development of emotions, in order to understand racism as a social construction, and its permanent influence based on children's emotional experiences, with Coloniality/Modernity as an epistemology.
