• Abstract: This study offers a more in-depth analysis of women's trajectory and their achievements in the socio-political sphere, through a detailed historical overview. It not only highlights women's integration into the workforce but also the multifaceted transformations that have emerged in their family life and society as a whole. Furthermore, it critically examines the healthcare policy directed towards women, reflecting on its significant progress and the persistent challenges that still need to be overcome. Additionally, it addresses the urgent issue of violence against women and its devastating impact on the physical and mental health of this portion of the population. The text contextualizes the reality of Brazilian women in a broader context, emphasizing the commitment of the healthcare team, predominantly composed of female professionals. It thus underscores the vital importance of proper guidance, referral to other specialized professionals, and, above all, attentive listening and solidarity as fundamental pillars for effective care and support for women in their various health and well-being needs.
