Abstract: Chronic non-communicable diseases account for over half of the global mortality cases. In the context of diabetes mellitus (DM), its development can be attributed to autoimmune alterations in Type 1 diabetes (DM1) and lifestyle factors in Type 2 diabetes (DM2). Beyond metabolic complications, DM significantly impacts the psycho-emotional health of patients, often resulting in anxiety and depression, thereby underscoring the critical need for multidisciplinary management for this patient population. Objective: This study aims to correlate the condition of diabetes with the onset of emotional disorders and to underscore the significance of multidisciplinary intervention in enhancing the quality of life for patients. Materials and Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted utilizing major health databases, encompassing the period from 2018 to 2023. Results: From an initial pool of 665 articles, 600 were excluded for not aligning with the study’s focus. Of the remaining 55 articles, duplicates were removed, resulting in the selection of 10 articles for the bibliographic review. Conclusion: The study concludes that diabetes mellitus necessitates a multidisciplinary and individualized approach to care, crucial for maintaining both the physical and mental well-being of patients
