PUBLICAÇÕES SOBRE ESQUISTOSSOMOSE NA SCOPUS: MAPEAMENTO, CARACTERIZAÇÃO E ANÁLISE DA PROGRESSÃO TEMPORAL DO TEMA APLICADO À MEDICINA E IMUNOLOGIA AO LONGO DA SÉRIE HISTÓRICA DE 2015 A 2019
A esquistossomose é uma doença parasitária capaz de desencadear agravos dispendiosos para a saúde pública. O objetivo do presente trabalho consiste em mapear, caracterizar e analisar a progressão temporal das publicações vinculadas à base Scopus quanto à temática em questão. Realizou-se uma revisão de literatura com o descritor “schistosomiasis”. A bibliometria foi aplicada para análise dos dados. As variáveis: país de origem, ano, tipo da publicação, instituição responsável, área do conhecimento, autor e periódico foram incluídas. O período estudado foi de 2015 a 2019. Os gráficos e tabelas foram construídos por intermédio do Microsoft® Office Excel; e o mapa a partir do Infogram. Totalizaram 4.603 publicações financiadas por 157 países. O maior número de estudos é proveniente da China (1167; 25,3%), Estados Unidos (973; 21,1%), Reino Unido (612; 13,2%), Brasil (538; 11,7%) e Suíça (306; 6,6%). Os tópicos mais frequentes foram: Periódico Chinese Journal Of Schistosomiasis Control; Instituição Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention; modalidade artigo; autor Utzinger, J.; e áreas medicina e imunologia. Houve uma redução do número de manuscritos ao longo dos anos. Por se uma moléstia capaz de gerar morbidade, mortalidade e custos, salienta-se a relevância do incentivo às pesquisas sobre esquistossomose.

Abstract:
Schistosomiasis is a parasitic disease capable of triggering expensive public health problems. The objective of the present work is to map, characterize and analyze the temporal progression of publications linked to the Scopus database regarding the subject in question. A literature review was carried out with the descriptor “schistosomiasis”. Bibliometry was applied for data analysis. The variables: country of origin, year, type of publication, responsible institution, area of knowledge, author and journal were included. The period studied was from 2015 to 2019. Graphs and tables were constructed using Microsoft® Office Excel; and the map was made with Infogram. There were 4,603 publications funded by 157 countries. The largest number of studies comes from China (1167; 25.3%), United States (973; 21.1%), United Kingdom (612; 13.2%), Brazil (538; 11.7%) and Switzerland (306; 6.6%). The most frequent topics were: Periodical Chinese Journal Of Schistosomiasis Control; Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention; article modality; author Utzinger, J.; and medicine and immunology areas. There has been a reduction in the number of manuscripts over the years. Because it is a disease capable of generating morbidity, mortality and costs, the relevance of encouraging research on schistosomiasis is highlighted.
