PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT TO FAMILIES OF STUDENTS WITH DOWN SYNDROME AT MUNICIPAL OFFICE IN LOBITO
É nosso interesse estudar o apoio psicológico das famílias de alunos com Síndrome de Down. Internacionalmente, o desenvolvimento social e científico para o aperfeiçoamento do sistema de acções dirigidas a elevar a qualidade de vida e a educação das crianças e de suas famílias constitui uma prioridade. E Angola não foge a regra, procurando, em Universidades e não só, desenvolver estudos sobre as pessoas com incapacidades, a função educativa da família, a incorporação social e redes de apoio, promover palestras, sessões de aconselhamento às famílias. Daí o levantarmos o seguinte problema: como apoiar as famílias de alunos com Síndrome de Down? É, pois, nosso objectivo geral: Criar estratégias de apoio e orientação psicológica às famílias de alunos de Síndrome de Down. À luz do objectivo geral, pretendemos: Buscar os referentes teóricos sobre o apoio psicológica às famílias com filhos portadores de Síndrome de Down; caracterizar o estado actual do apoio e orientação psicológica às famílias de alunos portadores de Síndrome de Down atendidos no GAP (Gabinete de Apoio Psicopedagógico) da Repartição Municipal da Educação do Lobito; avaliar os resultados que se obtêm com a aplicação da estratégia de orientação psicológica proposta para a preparação das famílias de filhos portadores de Síndrome de Down atendidas no GAP. Para o presente trabalho de investigação, definimos como População a totalidade das famílias de alunos portadores de Síndrome de Down atendidas no GAP. A aplicação do método qualitativo de investigação, a acção participativa possibilitaram-nos a operacionalização da variável estudada, forneceram-nos elementos práticos para a sistematização das informações e para a caracterização do objecto de estudo, cujos resultados nos permitem afirmar que a investigação desenvolvida é aplicável à preparação da família e da comunidade em matéria de apoio psicológico e educativa para a estimulação e desenvolvimento integral das crianças com Síndrome de Down.

Abstract:
It is our interest to study the psychological support to families of students with down syndrome disability. Internationally, the scientific and social development for the improvement of guided actions system, the increasing of the quality of life and the children and family education constitute a top priority. Angola does not escape the rule, hence the interest of researchers and universities, conducting studies on people with disabilities. The major educative rule of the family, the social integration and the networking support, promoting seminars, counseling sections to the targeted families. Therefor the we came up with following problem statement: How to give support to families of students with down syndrome disability. Our main Objective: To Create a support strategy and psychological orientation to families of students with down syndrome disability. In the sight of the general objective, we intend to: develop a theorical references about the psychological support to families of children with down syndrome disability; Characterize the actual state of support and psychological orientation to families of students with down syndrome disability assisted in the psychological support office in municipal education office in Lobito; to evaluate the finding results through the application of psychological orientation strategy proposer for the preparation of the families of children with disability assisted by the municipal office of education in Lobito. For the present survey we work with the total population of families with disability students in down syndrome, that are assisted by the psychological office support. Applying qualitative survey method, collaborative action will allow the variable upon which the study is taking place, to operate in a way that will bring practical elements for systematization of information, as well as characterizing the object of study, in which the results obtained will enable us to affirm that the research conducted is suitable to prepare the families and the community on the subject matter that is the psychological and educational support to stimulate the integrated development of children with down syndrome.
