Abstract: Fish farming in Brazil is represented by Tilapia, Carp, Trout and Pangasius. It is one of the main sources of income for thousands of Brazilians and ranks 4th in world production. To be successful in fish farming, it is necessary to meet the dietary requirement for amino acids, in order to avoid limiting the performance of the fish. The amino acid requirement varies depending on life progress and eating habits and can even be recommended with altered values due to water quality conditions and the health status of the fish. Hematological, plasma and liver analyzes are complementary tools in fish farming, as they help determine the well-being of animals through analyzes of hematocrit, erythrocyte count, levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, total proteins, glucose, albumin , hemoglobin concentration, hematimetric indices and even AST enzymatic activity.
