PROSPECÇÃO CIENTÍFICA E TECNOLÓGICA: UTILIZAÇÃO DE FITOTERÁPICOS NO TRATAMENTO PARA O HPV
Aproximadamente 500.000 casos de câncer do colo do útero ocorrem anualmente. Um percentual significativo destes casos se desenvolve a partir de infecções por Papilomavírus Humano (HPV). A promoção do uso de plantas para o tratamento de lesões e infecções pelo HPV é um caminho a ser seguido pelos ramos da investigação e indústria, com potencial inovador. Este artigo apresenta um mapeamento científico e tecnológico com intuito de investigar a utilização de fitoterápicos para tratamento contra o HPV, através de bancos de dados. Durante a exploração científica, foram analisados os artigos e patentes, constatando-se, um aumento no número de publicações científicas relacionadas à temática nos últimos cinco anos, principalmente, na Ásia. Com base no levantamento de patentes, os Estados Unidos apresentaram o maior número de depósitos. Pode-se concluir que, a aplicabilidade das plantas medicinais ainda tem pouca investigação de natureza científico e tecnológico com foco neste assunto.

Abstract:
Approximately 500.000 cases of cervical cancer occur annually. A significant percentage of these cases develop from Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infections. The promotion of the use of plants for the treatment of HPV lesions and infections is a path to be followed by research and industry branches with innovative potential. This article presents a scientific and technological mapping to investigate the use of phytotherapics for treatment against HPV, through databases. During scientific exploration, the articles and patents were analyzed, showing an increase in the number of scientific publications related to thematic in the last five years, mainly in Asia. Based on the patent filing, the United States had the largest number of deposits. It can be concluded that the applicability of medicinal plants still has little research of scientific and technological nature focused on this subject.
