Abstract: Portland cement (CP) is present in practically all stages of civil construction work, from infrastructure to the finishing phase. In 2022, Portland cement production in Brazil was 63.5 million tons (SNIC, 2023). Considering the high demand for cementing materials, research has been carried out in search of the use of waste as an alternative raw material. With the aim of introducing industrial waste generated in the State of Espírito Santo into the production of cementing materials, this research proposed to evaluate the possibility of producing mortar with granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS), biomass boiler ash (BBA) and FGD gypsum (Flue Gas Desulfurization), simultaneously. For this purpose, the mechanical properties of prismatic specimens measuring 40mm x 40mm x 160mm were evaluated containing mortar with different contents of the three residues called F1, F2 and F5, in addition to mortar with 100% GBFS. The results showed that formulation F5, containing 5% BBA, 85% GBFS, 5% FGD gypsum achieved the highest mechanical strength values, presenting an average compressive strength value of 18.5 MPa, which is equivalent to 74 % of the strength of Portland cement class 25 MPa specified in standard NBR16697/2018.
