Abstract: The intense industrial activity since the First Industrial Revolution has significantly contributed to environmental problems, with excessive water consumption standing out. In Brazil, industries, particularly those involved in extraction and manufacturing, consume substantial amounts of this resource, demanding a reevaluation of its use for sustainability. In this context, Cleaner Production (P+L) emerges as a crucial approach, aiming to minimize environmental impacts and maximize resource efficiency. This study proposes the implementation of P+L in a metallurgical industry located in Maringá - PR, focusing on rainwater harvesting for industrial processes. The adopted methodology is qualitative and exploratory, employing a case study to detail the company's real environment, applying the five stages of P+L. Initial results indicate that managerial commitment is essential for P+L actions. Furthermore, the analysis of production processes revealed the use of potable water at various points, justifying the proposal for rainwater reuse. It is concluded that P+L is fundamental not only for waste management but also for more efficient use of natural resources. Continued monitoring of the implemented system and further investigations into its economic impacts and potential expansion to other regions of Brazil are recommended.
