Abstract: Educational initiatives are fundamental to promoting environmental awareness from childhood. In this sense, the present work addresses, through an intervention project, based on the three pedagogical moments, a set of activities, to promote knowledge about the adequate separation of solid waste and selective collection, among students in the 1st year of Elementary School. I in the municipality of Mucajaí located in the state of Roraima. The problem of the work is related to how to promote awareness about the separation of solid waste among students through a pedagogical intervention project. The study seeks to promote reflection on the importance of separating solid waste, present the types of waste to students and their corresponding bins (paper, plastic, metal, glass), in addition to raising awareness among students about the negative impacts of waste on the environment. environment and human health. A pedagogical intervention project can be an effective tool to achieve the objectives, as it was possible to consolidate learning and promote understanding of concepts, as by connecting students' knowledge with new ideas, they applied what they learned in a more meaningful way.
