PROJETO PERSONA: CONHECER PARA APRENDER A APRENDER
Comumente as Instituições de Ensino adotam práticas de ensino e aprendizagem de forma homogênea, como se todos os estudantes aprendessem da mesma maneira. Isso origina uma série de disfunções, uma vez que pode favorecer o aprendizado em alguns alunos que detêm o estilo preferencial contemplado e desfavorecer outros com estilos de aprendizagem divergentes. Sabendo da importância atribuída aos estilos de aprendizagem, decidimos por meio do presente artigo apresentar o Projeto Persona, que busca identificar os estilos preferenciais de aprendizagem dos alunos do IFPI-Campus Floriano com o intuito precípuo de fornecer soluções criativas para aumentar a retenção do conhecimento, minimizando assim as possíveis assimetrias existentes entre os estilos de aprendizagem dos discentes e as práticas de ensino e aprendizagem adotadas. Como instrumento de recolha dos dados foi utilizado um questionário denominado de Índice de Estilos de Aprendizagem (Index of Learning Styles-ILS), disponível gratuitamente, desenvolvido por Felder-Soloman (1991), que classifica os estudantes em quatro dimensões de aprendizagem: Ativo/Reflexivo; Sensorial/Intuitivo; Visual/Verbal e Sequencial/ Global. Para o tratamento, análise e interpretação dos dados foram utilizados os softwares SPSS Statistics na sua versão 22 e o Numbers na sua versão 3.1. As técnicas estatísticas utilizadas foram de natureza descritiva e exploratória, para se descrever, analisar e interpretar o comportamento dos atributos em estudo. Os resultados preliminares do projeto apontam que o estilo preferencial de aprendizagem dos estudantes é Ativo/Sensorial/Visual/Sequencial, guardando dessa forma similaridades com outros estudos da área.

Abstract:
Usually, teaching institutions adopt homogeneous teaching and learning practices, as if all students learn the same way. This causes a number of dysfunctions, as it may favor learning in some students who hold the preferred style and disadvantage others with divergent learning styles. Knowing the importance attributed to learning styles, we decided through this article to present the Persona Project, which seeks to identify the preferred learning styles of IFPI-Campus Floriano students with the primary aim of providing creative solutions to increase knowledge retention, thus minimizing the possible asymmetries between the learning styles of the students and the teaching and learning practices adopted. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire called the Index of Learning Styles-ILS was applied, available free of charge, was developed by Felder-Soloman (1991), which classifies students in four dimensions: Active/Reflective; Sensory/Intuitive; Visual/Verbal and Sequential/Global. For the treatment, analysis and interpretation of the data were used the software SPSS Statistics in its version 22 and Numbers in its version 3.1. The statistical techniques used are descriptive and exploratory in order to describe, analyze and interpret the behavior of the attributes under study. The preliminary results of the project indicate that the students' preferred learning style is Active/Sensory/Visual/Sequential, thus keeping similarities with other studies in the area.
