Abstract: This work presents the development of a homemade incubator built with accessible components, aimed at monitoring and controlling internal temperature for various applications, such as greenhouses, hatcheries, ovens, etc. A proportional-integral (PI) controller was designed to activate a cooling FAN and stabilize the temperature at a predefined value. The monitoring and implementation of the controller were carried out using MATLAB® tools. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach, with a system that responds adequately to temperature variations. Despite a relatively long settling time, the system showed satisfactory performance.
