PROJETO “A COR DA CULTURA”: O PROTAGONISMO NEGRO/A NO PROGRAMA “HERÓIS DE TODO MUNDO”

acostumados a escutar e a ler, até nos textos
eruditos, os conceitos de cultura, civilização e
africanidade no singular. Por isso, a importância
de conceber o aprendizado sobre o continente
africano respeitando toda sua diversidade, mas
como trabalhar as culturas africanas além da
visão eurocêntrica imposta há anos pelos livros
didáticos onde a figura do negro é comumente
retratada como subalternizado, como objeto
ou submisso?No ano de 2004, o Ministério
da Educação em parceria com a Fundação
Roberto Marinho e várias instituições públicas
e privadas lança o programa “Heróis de Todo o
Mundo”, parte integrante do projeto “A Cor da
Cultura”. A ideia do projeto como um todo é a
valorização da cultura afro-brasileira sob um
ponto de vista afirmativo. Trazer o negro/a como
protagonista de suas histórias é valorizar quem
foi injustamente invisibilizadona construção da
história do Brasil nas mais diversas ocupações
e atividades. O debate das questões raciais
no Brasil apresentada em formas de projetos
e programas contribuem para a equidade
racial e colaboram para novas perspectivas
para a promoção da igualdade e no combate
às diferenças para a educação para relaçõesétnico-
raciais.

Abstract:
In the words of Kabengele
Munun, we are all accustomed to listen and to
read, even in the learned texts, the concepts
of culture, civilization and Africanness in
the singular. Therefore, the importance of
conceiving learning about the African continent
respecting all its diversity, but how to work
African cultures beyond the Eurocentric vision
imposed for years by textbooks where the figure
of the black man/woman is commonly portrayed
as subalternized, as an object or submissive? In
2004, the Ministry of Education, in partnership
with the Roberto Marinho Foundation and
several public and private institutions, launched
the “Heroes from Around the World” program,
an integral part of the “The Color of Culture”
project. The idea of the project as a whole is to
value Afro-Brazilian culture from an affirmative

point of view. Bringing the black man/woman the protagonist of their stories is to value
who was unjustly invisible to build the history of Brazil in the most diverse occupations
and activities. The debate of racial issues in Brazil presented in project and program
forms contribute to racial equity and collaborate to new perspectives for the promotion
of equality and in combating differences for education for ethnic-racial relations.
