PROFESSORES DE CIÊNCIAS E ORIENTAÇÃO SEXUAL EM ESCOLAS MUNICIPAIS DE BARREIRAS - BAHIA
A sexualidade é uma característica inerente a todos os seres humanos, ela está presente na vida do indivíduo desde o nascimento até a morte, envolvendo vários fatores. Nessa perspectiva, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a percepção dos professores de Ciências das escolas municipais da cidade de Barreiras - Bahia acerca do tema sexualidade na escola. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada com 10 professores de Ciências. Foi realizada uma entrevista semiestruturada, através do uso de um questionário e a análise dos dados foi feita através da metodologia da análise de conteúdo. No que diz respeito aos resultados, verificou-se que os professores ainda precisam ampliar sua compreensão acerca da sexualidade, embora a maioria tenha relatado que não tem problema para abordar o tema em sala de aula. Os professores ressaltam, entretanto, a necessidade de subsídios, cursos e formação adequada para trabalhar as questões acerca da sexualidade humana de forma mais ampla. Sendo assim, é preciso que os professores estejam preparados, bem informados e atentos, pois estes também são responsáveis pelas informações que os alunos recebem acerca da sexualidade.

Abstract:
Sexuality is an inherent characteristic of all human beings, it is present in the individual's life from birth to death, involving several factors. In this perspective, the objective of this study was to analyze the perception of science teachers in municipal schools in the city of Barreiras - Bahia about the sexuality theme at school. It is a qualitative research carried out with 10 science teachers. A semi-structured interview was carried out, using a questionnaire and the data analysis was done through the content analysis methodology. With regard to the results, it was found that teachers still need to broaden their understanding of sexuality, although most have reported that they have no problem addressing the topic in the classroom. Teachers emphasize, however, the need for subsidies, courses and adequate training to work on issues about human sexuality more broadly. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to be prepared, well informed and attentive, as they are also responsible for the information that students receive about sexuality.
