Abstract: The teacher at a private school in Cuiabá-MT, was suspended after criticizing the then President of the Republic during class for a 3rd year elementary school class, and the recording circulated through groups of instant messaging applications and through social networks. The following day, a helicopter from the state government's public security forces flew over the school building, displaying the Brazilian flag. Among the versions and ambiguities that transited between the celebration of the country's week and an undue political act using public money, the fact was understood by teachers and representative entities as a form of intimidation. Finally, there was silence from the teacher and a flagrant attack on the practice of reflective teachers. Far from trying to value the actions that permeated the episode that gained prominence in the news across the country, this article aims to reflect on how teaching practice can transit through the Post-Truth Era and the fake news crisis and go beyond the technical rationalism denounced by Dewey , Schön and Zeichner. For this, the multi-referential look provided by the Theory of Complexity and three-dimensional Narrative Research is used. Based on journalistic information, personal memories and epistemological analyses, we seek to reflect on the implications of cases like this in teaching activity in the new, uncertain, hyperconnected and challenging times in which we live.
