Abstract: : In order to meet the demands for greater sustainability in Brazilian agriculture, the use of bio-inputs represents a strategic alternative for the integrated management of pests and diseases, characterised by their efficiency, lower environmental impact and compliance with the demands of today's more demanding consumers and stricter regulations. In Brazil, bio-inputs currently grew by 15% in the 2023/2024 crop year, generating a turnover of around R$5 billion, especially microbiological products, which accounted for 79.23% of registrations. Fungi and bacteria such as Trichoderma spp., Bacillus spp., Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae are the most widely used for pest and disease management. At the same time, innovations developed by companies such as Syngenta, Bayer and Bioceres have confirmed the sector's growth potential. The expansion in the use of biological products in Brazil not only contributes to reducing the environmental impact of the use of chemical pesticides, but also strengthens competitiveness in the global market, meeting the growing demand for food produced in a rational, environmentally friendly and ecologically sustainable way.
