PRODUCCIÓN DE NARANJA ORGÁNICA Y AGROECOLÓGICA: DIFUSIÓN DE LA TECNOLOGÍA A PEQUEÑOS PRODUCTORES ORGANIZADOS EN VERACRUZ, MÉXICO
A partir del 2008, el Centro de Investigaciones Interdisciplinarias para el Desarrollo Rural Integral, CIIDRI de la Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (UACh) en el municipio de Papantla, Veracruz, México comenzó a experimentar en una hectárea de naranja una serie de prácticas agroecológicas, encontrando opciones a la producción regional convencional que utiliza productos de síntesis química. Posteriormente estas prácticas se extendieron a toda una huerta de 16 ha, siendo hoy un faro agroecológico, que sirve de guía para otros productores. Se utilizó la metodología de Jara (2017) para la sistematización de la experiencia de cómo se ha realizado el proceso de difusión y transferencia de la innovación de naranja orgánica y agroecológica principalmente a pequeños productores. Se encontró que el proceso de difusión tecnológica se ha hecho a través de 3 etapas, habiendo sobre todo el CIIDRI-UACh participado en los últimos 2 periodos con recorridos en la “Huerta Madre”, cursos, talleres, apoyo para la certificación de las organizaciones, información y organización para la fijación de precios para la comercialización con la industria del jugo, publicaciones, videos, servicios sociales, estancias profesionales y tesis. Este proceso de difusión tecnológica ha logrado que existan 8 organizaciones certificadas, 310 productores y 1340 hectáreas con naranja orgánica.

Abstract:
Since 2008, the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Integral Rural Development, CIIDRI of the Chapingo Autonomous University (UACh) in the municipality of Papantla, Veracruz, Mexico began to experiment with a series of agroecological practices in one hectare of orange production, finding options for production that uses synthetic products. Afterwards, these practices were extended to an entire 16-hectare orchard, today being an agroecological lighthouse, which serves as a guide for other producers. The methodology of Jara (2017) was used to systematize the experience of how the process of diffusion and transfer of organic and agroecological orange innovation has been carried out, mainly to small scale producers. It was found that the difussion technology process has been done through 3 stages, with CIIDRI-UACh having participated in the last 2 periods with tours to the “Mother Orchard”, courses, workshops, support for the certification of cooperatives, information and organization for setting prices for marketing with the juice industry, publications, videos, social services, internships and theses. This process of technological diffusion has achieved that there are 8 certified organizations, 310 producers and 1,340 hectares with organic orange.
