• Abstract: The purpose of this article is to reflect on the training process and experience of a scholarship holder who played a pivotal role during the implementation of an audiovisual production extension project – short documentaries – comprised of activities and cultural experiences of the residents of Barbalho, Lapinha, and Santo Antônio Além do Carmo neighborhoods, located in the City of Salvador - BA. The project, deeply rooted in the communities mentioned above, aimed to capture and preserve their unique cultural experiences. For the data collection and/or recording of audiovisuals, the project's proposal was anchored in the theoretical-empirical basis of multi-referential critical ethnoresearch - a rigorous process that combines theoretical frameworks with empirical data for training - and the establishment of a dialogue with the various artistic, cultural agents and producers from the communities involved. Their actions comprised aspects of territories, personal stories, and artistic and cultural memories. The areas included in the project - Art, Culture, and Education - and the concepts of experience and aesthetic awareness allowed us to reflect on the place of the subject's experience in the training process as the self and hetero formation of the scholarship holder, revealed the importance of this article in the present moment.
