PROCESSO DE PRODUÇÃO DO CONHECIMENTO NO PPGSS/UFPB NA DÉCADA DE 1990: UMA ANÁLISE A PARTIR DAS DISSERTAÇÕES DE MESTRADO VINCULADAS À ÁREA DE FUNDAMENTAÇÃO TEÓRICO-PRÁTICA DO SERVIÇO SOCIAL
Esta pesquisa analisa processo
de produção do conhecimento no Serviço
Social a partir das Dissertações de Mestrado
do Programa de Pós-graduação em Serviço
Social (PPGSS) da UFPB, vinculadas à área
de Fundamentação Teórico-Prática, na década
de 1990. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter
bibliográfico e documental mediante a aplicação
do estado da arte. Os resultados indicam um
total de 66 Dissertações defendidas em 1990,
com a predominância da área de concentração
Política Social com 66,6% e, consequentemente,
33,4% das Dissertações de Fundamentação
Teórico-Prática do Serviço Social. Os resultados
indicam que as inflexões pós-modernas
na produção do conhecimento através das
dissertações geradas no PPGSS/UFPB ainda
são tênues, se considerar a hegemonia dos
estudos investigativos macrossocietários,
cujas categorias temáticas são analisadas na
perspectiva da totalidade advinda do método da
teoria social crítica marxista.

Abstract:
This research analyzes the
process of knowledge production in Social
Work from the Master’s Dissertations of the
Postgraduate Program in Social Work (PPGSS)
of the UFPB, linked to the area of theoretical and
practical foundation, in the 1990s. a research
of bibliographical and documentary character
through the application of the state of the art.
The results indicate a total of 66 Dissertations
defended in 1990, with the predominance of
the Social Policy concentration area with 66.6%
and, consequently, 33.4% of the Dissertations
of Theoretical-Practical Rationale of Social
Work. The results indicate that the postmodern
inflections in the production of knowledge
through the dissertations generated in the
PPGSS / UFPB are still tenuous, considering the
hegemony of macro-society research studies,
whose thematic categories are analyzed from
the perspective of totality derived from the
method of critical social theory Marxist.
