Abstract: The importance of strategies in organizations is related to the definition of guidelines that guide the organization's positioning in the environment in which it operates. Currently, strategy formulation is more internal and delegated to levels close to customers or to the planning department. When formulating strategies, factors such as resources, environment, and integration between the organization and the environment need to be considered. Strategies are not programmed; they are contingent and based on value judgments. Organizational, business, and functional strategies are listed as ways to achieve the company's objectives. Strategy implementation requires that the strategy be compatible with the action plans drawn up by the organization's sectors. Control and evaluation are essential to compare the results achieved with those expected and to ensure the proper functioning of the Strategic Management process. A reliable information system that includes strategic, tactical, and operational control is essential for the successful implementation of strategies in organizations.
