PRINCESA ISABEL: GÊNERO E PODER NO IMPÉRIO E MÚSICA
Este trabalho tem como função,
aprofundar conhecimentos sobre as relações
de gênero e poder no império, verificando a vida
da Princesa Isabel. Será utilizado um recorte da
história do Brasil, do poder atribuído a Princesa
Isabel, e questões particulares, da vida privada e
conflitos de gênero vivenciados por ela. Temos
como objetivo ressaltar as relações de gênero
e de poder da Princesa Isabel. Concluímos
que, a Princesa Isabel, sendo filha e esposa
submissa e dedicada, como era esperado das
mulheres da sua época, teve coragem de lutar
por seus direitos enquanto mulher e cidadã e
enfrentar o preconceito ao governar um país,
culturalmente patriarcal, o que possivelmente
explique parte do ofuscamento sofrido ao longo
da história do Brasil. Percebemos que houve
grande mudança, na forma como as mulheres
são vistas no poder, e da influência histórica
que a Princesa Isabel possui frente a questões
políticas e sociais na atualidade.

Abstract:
The purpose of this work is to
deepen knowledge about gender relations and
power in the empire, verifying the life of Princess
Isabel. It will be used a clipping of the history of
Brazil, of the power attributed to Princess Isabel,
and private issues, of the private life and gender
conflicts experienced by her. We aim to highlight
the relations of gender and power of Princess
Isabel. We conclude that Princess Isabel, being
a submissive and devoted daughter and wife,
as expected of the women of her day, had the
courage to fight for her rights as a woman and
a citizen and to face prejudice by governing a
culturally patriarchal country, explain part of the
glare suffered throughout the history of Brazil.
We realize that there has been a great change, in the way women are seen in power, and in the historical influence that Princess Isabel
has on social and political issues today.
