Prevenção primária: Epidemiologia do HIV em Tramandaí e região
O Vírus da Imunodeficiência
Humana (HIV) é uma patologia frequente,
mesmo que amplamente conhecida. Visto que
a fisioterapia tem competências e habilidades
para atuar em todos os níveis de atenção à
saúde, incluindo programas de prevenção
e proteção à saúde, objetivou-se pesquisar
quais os dados epidemiológicos sobre doenças
sexualmente transmissíveis (DST’s), incluindo
HIV em Tramandaí e região. A pesquisa foi
realizada na Secretaria de Saúde do município
de Tramandaí. Considerou-se como região
Tramandaí, Imbé, Cidreira e Pinhal. Foram
realizadas as seguintes perguntas: 1- Quantas
pessoas do litoral tem registro de contaminação
DST? 2- Destas, quantas tem HIV? 3- Destas,
quantas vocês oferecem tratamento? 4- Todas
estas pessoas que tem fornecimento de
tratamento, utilizam do mesmo? 5- Qual a faixaetária
dos contaminados pelo vírus HIV? 6- É
realizada alguma campanha para prevenção
da doença? Atualmente esta região possui
registro de 1.116 pessoas acometidas por DST,
sendo 1.075 adultos, 16 jovens e 25 crianças.
Destes, 147 indivíduos portam outros tipos
de DST’s e 969 portam o vírus HIV. Oferecese
tratamento para qualquer cidadão com
diagnóstico confirmado, porém apenas 589
utilizam o tratamento fornecido pela Secretaria
de Saúde do município, os demais encontramse
em situações adversas. As campanhas são
constantes com maior intensidade no carnaval.
Os resultados obtidos demonstram que o
número de DST’s nesta região é considerável, e
que o índice de pessoas que buscam tratamento
é somente 61%, mesmo havendo campanhas
de prevenção. Sugere-se maior aplicabilidade
de campanhas em populações não atingidas
nas anteriores, incluindo o fisioterapeuta
como profissional ativo nesta prevenção, tanto
primária quanto secundária.

Abstract:
The Human Immunodeficiency
Virus (HIV) is a common, though widely known,
pathology. Since physical therapy has the skills
and abilities to perform at all levels of health care,

including prevention and health protection programs, the objective was to investigate
the epidemiological data on sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including HIV in
Tramandaí and region . The research was carried out in the Department of Health of
the municipality of Tramandaí. It was considered as region Tramandaí, Imbé, Cidreira
and Pinhal. The following questions were asked: 1- How many people on the coast
have STD contamination records? 2- Of these, how many have HIV? 3- Of these, how
many do you offer treatment? 4 - All these people who have treatment provision, use
the same? 5- What is the age range of those infected with the HIV virus? 6 - Is there
any campaign to prevent the disease? Currently, this region has a record of 1,116
people affected by STD, 1,075 adults, 16 young people and 25 children. Of these, 147
individuals carry other types of STDs and 969 carry the HIV virus. Treatment is offered
to any citizen with a confirmed diagnosis, but only 589 use the treatment provided by
the Department of Health of the municipality, the others are in adverse situations. The
campaigns are constant with greater intensity in the carnival. The results show that the
number of STDs in this region is considerable, and that the number of people seeking
treatment is only 61%, even though there are prevention campaigns. It is suggested
a greater applicability of campaigns in populations not reached in the previous ones,
including the physiotherapist as active professional in this prevention, both primary and
secondary.
