PREVENÇÃO DE RISCOS OCUPACIONAIS EM INTOXICAÇÃO POR METAIS PESADOS
Este estudo trata sobre os riscos da intoxicação por metais pesados e os possíveis meios de prevenção dos riscos ocupacionais dos socorristas de enfermagem que atuaram no resgate da tragédia em Brumadinho. A Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais verificou amostras que confirmam a presença de metais pesados na lama. Os profissionais devem fazer o uso de Equipamentos de Proteção Individual (EPI) para garantir uma atuação técnica segura com menos riscos possíveis para a saúde. Com base no estudo apresentado, é possível concluir que o contato de metais pesados com o organismo oferece grandes riscos à saúde e evidencia a importância do uso de EPI’s. Ainda, nota-se em destaque uma grande defasagem acerca de estudos na língua portuguesa sobre o assunto.

Abstract:
This study deals with the risks of heavy metal poisoning and possible means of prevention of occupational hazards of first responders who worked to rescue the tragedy in Brumadinho. The Secretary of State for Health of Minas Gerais verified samples confirming the presence of heavy metals present in the mud. Rescuers should use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure safe technical performance with the least possible health risks. Based on the presented study it is possible to conclude that the contact of heavy metals with the organism poses great risks to health and evidences the importance of the use of EPI's. Also, it highlights a large gap in studies in the Portuguese language on the subject. -
