Abstract: Objective: Review the prevalence and types of malocclusions in pediatric and adolescent patients with ASD. Methods: This is an integrative review carried out, through a search in the PubMed and BVS (Virtual Health Library) databases, using the descriptors “Malocclusion”, “Autism Spectrum Disorder” and “Child”, and their corresponding terms in English and Spanish. The time filter used was the last 10 years. Results: The reviewed literature demonstrates that malocclusion is significantly higher in children with ASD, with posterior crossbite, overjet, overbite, and severe crowding being commonly observed, thus, there is a greater need for orthodontic treatment in this group. The IOTN-DHC and IOTN-AC indices showed a greater aesthetic and functional demand for orthodontics in children with ASD, a perception also corroborated by caregivers. However, the studies face methodological limitations, such as heterogeneous samples and lack of standardization in the orthodontic indexes used. Final considerations: Malocclusion has a significant prevalence in children with ASD, highlighting anterior open bite, crossbite, overjet and overbite. Discrepancies were found regarding the Angle molar relationship, class I, II and III.
