Abstract: Childhood obesity is a multifactorial public health issue involving genetic, environmental, and behavioral factors. This study analyzed the prevalence and associated factors of childhood obesity, based on recent scientific literature and the reference text. Evidence indicates the effectiveness of school, community, and family interventions in promoting healthy eating habits and regular physical activity. Interactive technologies, such as digital games and online tools, emerge as promising strategies to increase adherence, especially among vulnerable populations. Moreover, the importance of preventive actions starting during pregnancy and addressing complementary factors such as sleep and emotional health is emphasized. It is concluded that preventing and controlling childhood obesity requires intersectoral, culturally adapted, and sustained public policies, capable of promoting long-term behavioral and health improvements in children.
