Abstract: A neoplasm appears as an unexplained mass, caused by a mutation in DNA that can occur due to a variety of factors. In this sense, the objective of this research was to study the prevalence of neoplasms diagnosed in dogs in the last five years, at the Veterinary Clinical Center of Patos de Minas. For this, clinical records of animals treated from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2023 were evaluated. Therefore, the following data was collected: age, sex, breed and histopathological report. The results found demonstrated 74.2% (2,350/3,167) were dogs, with 21.74% (511/2,350) referring to medical records that showed clinical suspicion of neoplasia. However, 4.3% (22/511) underwent histopathology. 17 types of neoplasms were identified, with a predominance of hepatoid gland adenoma 14.28% (3/21), breast carcinoma in mixed tumor grade II and cutaneous mast cell tumor grade II both with 9.52% (2/21). The average age was 9.56 years, with the youngest dog being two and the oldest being 16 years old. Dogs aged nine and 10 years old were also the most affected, each representing 18.75% (3/16). Regarding sex, females predominated, representing 63.15% (12/19) compared to the number of males 36.84% (7/19). Regarding breeds, was noted that animals without a defined breed were the most prevalent, totaling 63.15% (12/19), while 36.84% (7/19) were dogs with a defined breed, with one animal from each race. It is concluded that in this study the prevalence of neoplasms was low due to the failure to perform histopathological examinations to confirm the clinical suspicion.
