Abstract: ABSTRACT: Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of bacteria that cause urinary tract infection, their mean disposition in Brazil. Evaluate the prevalence by specifying which are the main genera of bacteria, the incidence ratio between females and males, the relationship with the different ages affected by the infection, and which are the most effective antibiotics against other bacteria. Methods: The study was characterized by a literature search in the 5 regions of Brazil, in relation to the years 2012 to 2022, surveys with patients without comorbidities, of both genders, of all ages, were included. The research platforms were: CAPES, Scielo, VHL and Google Scholar. Results and Discussion: The most prevalent bacterium was Escherichia coli with variation between 53% and 80% of cases, the most affected ages on average are from 50 years old and the drug with the highest sensitivity was gentamicin. Conclusion: Further research is needed in the northern and central-western regions for better statistical mapping and probable inclusion of more enteric and gram-positive strains for future analyses of their incidences and severities in UTI.
