PREVALÊNCIA DE HIPERTENSÃO ENTRE HOMENS E MULHERES NAS DIFERENTES FAIXAS ETÁRIAS NO ESTADO DO RIO GRANDE DO SUL NO ANO DE 2012
Com o estilo de vida contemporâneo e o aumento do consumo de industrializados ricos em sódio, a hipertensão arterial tem acometido um número maior de pessoas a cada ano. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo comparar a prevalência de hipertensão arterial entre homens e mulheres nas diferentes faixas etárias no estado do Rio Grande do Sul no ano de 2012. Tendo em vista que a doença acomete de forma diferente os diferentes grupos etários e cada vez tem se manifestado mais cedo entre a população.

Abstract:
With the contemporary lifestyle and the increased consumption of industrialized sodium-rich foods, high blood pressure has affected a greater number of people each year. The present study aims to compare the prevalence of arterial hypertension among men and women in different age groups in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in 2012. Bearing in mind that the disease affects differently different age groups and increasingly has manifested earlier among the population.
