Abstract: Homosexuality, the homosexual subject or, as it is more commonly called in Brazilian society, the gay are “inventions” of the 19th century. Until then, affective and sexual relationships between people of the same sex were considered sodomy, being a shameful behavior to which anyone could succumb. Considering that the State has power devices to define who "lives and who dies", it is precisely the issues of gender, race and class that are most affected by this device, since they escape this standard "hetero normative, white and bourgeois". In this sense, the present study aimed to verify with black and homoaffective men, residing in the state of Rondônia, through lived reports, if they had already had experiences or perceptions of homophobic and/or racist discriminatory actions. This is a field study, qualitative and exploratory. As a resource for interpreting the interviews, Discourse Analysis was used, guided by Orlandi. As results and after data analysis, it was found that the participants had the perception that homophobic discriminatory actions had a more significant impact on their experiences, when compared to racism, since, although racism had been part of some experiences, it did not took on as significant a proportion as homophobia.
