PRESERVAÇÃO DA FACE E (DES)CORTESIA NO DISCURSO LITERÁRIO DO ROMANCE MEU DESTINO É PECAR, DE NELSON RODRIGUES
A linguagem é um instrumento de
comunicação extremamente importante, pois
possibilita ao indivíduo comunicar-se com a
sociedade, bem como estabelecer interação
com o mundo. Diante desse contexto, para
que a relação seja amistosa , os indivíduos
precisam utilizar -se da cortesia para atenuar a
força ilocutória do enunciado para que não haja
conflitos durante o processo interacional , mas ,
ainda assim , os interactantes podem fugir das
regras e não apresentar bom comportamento
social, transgredindo os rituais de cortesia, o
que causará conflito entre os interlocutores.
Diante disso, o objetivo desta comunicação é
analisar a descortesia estratégica proferida
pelos personagens no romance Meu destino é
pecar, de Nelson Rodrigues . Assim, utilizaremos
fragmentos do romance com o intuito de mostrar
que as relações de interação são construídas por
meio de estratégias argumentativas para atacar
a imagem do interlocutor , conforme Marlageon
(2005) e Culpeper ( 2005) apresentam .

Abstract:
The Language is an extremely
important communication tool because it
enables the individual to communicate with
society, as well as to establish interaction with
the world. Given this context, in order for the
relationship to be friendly, individuals need to
use courtesy to mitigate the illocutionary force of
the statement so that there is no conflict during
the interactional process, but nonetheless,
interactors can escape the rules and not present
good social behavior, transgressing the rituals
of courtesy, which will cause conflict between
the interlocutors. Therefore, the objective of
this communication is to analyze the strategic
rudeness of the characters in Nelson Rodrigues’
novel Meu destino é pecar. Thus, we will use
fragments of the novel in order to show that the
interaction relations are constructed through
argumentative strategies to attack the image
of the interlocutor, as Marlageon (2005) and
Culpeper (2005) present.
