PRESENÇA DE CRISTAIS DE FOSFATO DE CÁLCIO EM CÃO: RELATO DE CASO
O sistema urinário tem a função de filtrar e eliminar os resíduos indesejáveis do organismo através da urina. Quando a urina possui alta concentração de minerais, acaba proporcionando ao aparecimento de alguns tipos de cristais, estando estes propensos à formação de urólitos. Urolitíase é caracterizado pelo aparecimento de cálculo urinário que podem ser encontrados na bexiga, rins, ureteres ou uretra. Esses cálculos (urólitos) são identificados conforme sua composição mineral como fosfato de cálcio, cistina, urato, oxalato de cálcio, através de uma análise de cálculo. As causas dessa patologia são variadas, podendo ser desde uma infecção no trato urinário, alterações metabólicas, razões dietéticas e/ou até mesmo por causas idiopáticas. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar um caso de presença de cristais de fosfato de cálcio na urina de um cão, macho, Shih Tzu, 5 meses, não castrado, atendido em uma clínica veterinária de Rio Verde, que teve como queixa principal dermatite úmida na pele em região cervical e odor forte na urina. Este cristal é um tipo incomum e pouco relatado na literatura.

Abstract:
The urinary system has the function of filtering and eliminating the undesirable residues of the organism through the urine. When urine has a high concentration of minerals, it gives rise to the appearance of some types of crystals, being these prone to the formation of uroliths. Urolithiasis is characterized by the appearance of urinary calculi which can be found in the bladder, kidneys, ureters or urethra. These calculi (uroliths) are identified according to their mineral composition as calcium phosphate, cystine, urate, calcium oxalate, through a calculation analysis. The causes of this pathology are varied, ranging from a urinary tract infection, metabolic changes, dietary reasons and / or even to idiopathic causes. The objective of this work was to report a case of calcium phosphate crystals in the urine of a male, 5 months old, uncastrated Shih Tzu dog, attended at a veterinary clinic in Rio Verde, who had as main complaint wet dermatitis in the Skin in the cervical region and strong odor in the urine. This crystal is an unusual type and little reported in the literature.
