PRESENÇA DA MACROALGA DO GÊNERO Gracilaria NA RESERVA EXTRATIVISTA MARINHA DO PIRAJUBAÉ, FLORIANÓPOLIS/SC
A macroalga Gracilaria é um
importante componente do ecossistema
aquático, bioatratora de diversidade e a
principal utilização desta alga é na produção do
ágar pela indústria alimentícia, biotecnológica
e farmacêutica. A Reserva Extrativista Marinha
do Pirajubaé (RESEX) encontra-se localizada
em Florianópolis/SC e está sob pressões que
podem afetar diretamente a população de
macroalgas e de outras espécies. O objetivo
do estudo foi verificar e registrar a presença de
macroalgas do gênero Gracilaria na RESEX. A
pesquisa foi realizada mensalmente, em oito
áreas da RESEX, com 3 réplicas cada, entre abril
de 2016 a abril de 2017, utilizando amostrador
cilíndrico de PVC, do tipo corer, com 20 cm
de diâmetro, enterrado 10 cm no sedimento.
As amostras foram peneiradas, ensacadas,
identificadas e transportadas ao laboratório
do Departamento de Aquicultura/UFSC, para
triagem. A temperatura e salinidade da água
foram registradas mensalmente em cada área
de coleta, através de multiparâmetro. Em todas
as áreas de coleta e estações do ano houve
presença de Gracilaria, sendo que nos locais
1 e 2, em todo o período de estudo. Na área 7,
próximo ao mangue, e na área 8, próximo a um
banco de areia, verificou-se a menor presença.
Devido à escassez de berbigões, o rastelar do
substrato da RESEX foi minimizado, propiciando
a proliferação das macroalgas, favorecendo
a macrofauna composta por invertebrados
bentônicos, camarões e peixes, que também
fornecem sustento à comunidade extrativista
local. É interessante analisar a viabilidade de
projetos de maricultura como alternativa de
renda e trabalho, em áreas próximas à RESEX.

Abstract:
The Gracilaria macroalgae is an
important component of the aquatic ecosystem,
a bio-attractant of diversity and the main use of
this algae is in the production of agar by the food,
biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. The
Pirajubaé Marine Extractive Reserve (RESEX) is located in Florianópolis / SC and is
under pressure that may directly affect the population of macroalgae and other species.
The objective of the study was to verify and record the presence of macroalgae of
the genus Gracilaria in RESEX. The research was took monthly in eight areas of the
RESEX, with 3 replicates each, between April 2016 and April 2017, using corer type
PVC sampler, corer type, 20 cm in diameter, buried 10 cm in the sediment. Samples
were sieved, bagged, identified and transported to the laboratory of the Department of
Aquaculture / UFSC for sorting. The temperature and salinity of the water were recorded
monthly in each collection area, through multiparameter. In all areas of collection and
seasons of the year Gracilaria was present, being that in places 1 and 2, throughout the
study period. In area 7, near the mangrove, and in area 8, near a sandbar, the smallest
presence was observed. Due to the scarcity of cockles, the substrate RESEX was
minimized, favoring the proliferation of macroalgae, favoring macrofauna composed
by benthic invertebrates, shrimp and fish, which also provide sustenance to the local
extractive community. It is interesting to analyze the feasibility of mariculture projects
as an alternative of income and work in areas close to RESEX.
