PRECIPITAÇÃO NIVAL NO INVERNO DE 2013 E AS CONDIÇÕES DO TEMPO LOCAL E REGIONAL EM GUARAPUAVA – PARANÁ
O presente trabalho tem como principal enfoque a precipitação nival ocorrida no município de Guarapuava no dia 22 de julho de 2013, fenômeno que teve repercussão nacional. Para entender sua ocorrência houve a necessidade de interpretar a dinâmica da circulação atmosférica do dia que ocorreu a precipitação da neve e dos dias posteriores, buscando verificar o motivo pelo qual não houve mais nevascas. Utilizou-se dados do IAPAR (Instituto Agronômico do Paraná) para verificar a quantidade de precipitação pluviométrica e a temperatura mínima nos dias estudados. Também foram analisadas as cartas sinóticas da Marinha do Brasil para identificar o padrão da circulação atmosférica nos dias estudados, assim como, imagens do satélite Goes-13, disponibilizadas pelo CPTEC/INPE. Verificou-se que nos dias posteriores a precipitação nival, a temperatura diminuiu, devido ao acúmulo de neve e ao alto albedo. A ocorrência de neve em Guarapuava não é facilmente previsível, por ser esporádica. Apesar dos fatores geográficos exercerem influência na ocorrência de neve, são os elementos meteorológicos que possibilitaram a nevasca ocorrida em 2013.

Abstract:
The present work has as main focus the nival precipitation that occurred in the city of Guarapuava on July 22, 2013, a phenomenon that had national repercussions. In order to understand its occurrence, it was necessary to interpret the dynamics of the atmospheric circulation of the day when snowfall occurred and subsequent days, seeking to verify the reason why no further snowfalls were observed. Data from IAPAR (Agronomic Institute of Paraná) were used to verify the amount of rainfall and the minimum temperature on the days under study. Synoptic charts of the Brazilian Navy were also analyzed to identify the pattern of atmospheric circulation in the days that snowfall occurred, as well as images from the Goes-13 satellite, provided by CPTEC / INPE. It was found that in the days after nival precipitation, the temperature decreased due to snow accumulation and high albedo. The occurrence of snow in Guarapuava is not easily predictable, as it is sporadic. Although geographical factors influence the occurrence of snow, the occurrence of snow in 2013 was also influenced by meteorological elements.
