Abstract: The present study examines the use of mindfulness practice as a strategy to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, stress, and depression in academic settings. Given the increasing severity of mental health issues among university students, the relevance of mindfulness as a complementary care approach is highlighted. The main objective is to analyze the impact of this practice in mitigating adverse psychological symptoms. Based on a narrative literature review, the results demonstrate the effectiveness of mindfulness in promoting students' mental and emotional well-being. It is concluded that integrating mindfulness-based practices into university curricula represents a relevant strategy for promoting mental health in higher education. Further studies are recommended to investigate its applications in different academic contexts, considering institutional, cultural, and methodological variables.
