PRÁTICA DA/O ENFERMEIRA/O NO CUIDADO DE FERIDAS E O USO DO MEL DE MANDAÇAIA
O presente trabalho situa-se no
campo de estudos sobre cuidado e humanização
em saúde, de forma mais específica no que tange
ao cuidado de feridas com vista ao autocuidado
e utilização de novas tecnologias. Com o
objetivo de analisar a importância do cuidado
de enfermagem a pacientes que apresentam
lesões de pele e utilizam mel de mandaçaia
(Melipona quadrifasciata) como cicatrizante, este
estudo apresenta uma pesquisa exploratória e
descritiva, de caráter investigativo e qualitativo,
através da realização de um estudo de caso
em instituição hospitalar. Utilizou-se para coleta
de dados a observação do procedimento e
a análise de imagens fotográficas da ferida,
além de questionário semi-estruturado. Os
resultados foram analisados à luz da análise
de conteúdo de Bardin onde percebeu-se, a
partir da análise das imagens, que o mel trouxe
melhora significativa no tecido lesado, havendo
o fechamento de um dos leitos da ferida. Como
considerações finais apresentamos que o uso
do mel associado a realização da técnica sem
utilização de instrumental, contribuiu tanto no
processo de cicatrização das feridas quanto
para o autocuidado e restabelecimento da
paciente em relação as suas atividades de
rotina.

Abstract:
The present work is located in
the field of studies on care and humanization
in health, in a more specific way regarding the
care of wounds with a view to self-care and the use of new technologies. With the
objective of analyzing the importance of nursing care to patients with skin lesions and
using mandarin honey (Melipona quadrifasciata) as a cicatrizant, this study presents
an exploratory and descriptive research, with an investigative and qualitative character,
through the accomplishment of a case study in a hospital. The observation of the
procedure and the analysis of photographic images of the wound were used for data
collection, in addition to a semi-structured questionnaire. The results were analyzed
in light of the Bardin content analysis, where it was observed from the analysis of the
images that the honey brought significant improvement in the injured tissue, with the
closing of one of the beds of the wound. As final considerations, we present that the
use of honey associated to the technique without using instruments contributed to both
the wound healing process and the self-care and reestablishment of the patient in
relation to their routine activities.
