PRAGAS DO SAPOTIZEIRO E SPONDIAS
O número de espécies de insetos-praga que causam prejuízos ao sapotizeiro e Spondias spp. é relativamente pequeno quando comparado a outras espécies frutíferas. Isso se deve não pela falta de atratividade destas plantas aos insetos, mas por serem cultivadas em pequena escala, geralmente com poucas plantas juntas e em pomares mistos dispersos. As pesquisas têm sido conduzidas com maior frequência na Região Nordeste, onde também se encontram as principais áreas produtoras. O presente trabalho consiste em uma coletânea atualizada sobre as principais pragas destas culturas, contendo informações baseadas em trabalhos de pesquisa de instituições brasileiras, bem como em observações nas regiões produtoras.

Abstract:
The number of species of insect pests that cause damage to sapodilla and Spondias spp. it is relatively small when compared to other fruit species. This is not due to the lack of attractiveness of these plants to insects, but because they are cultivated on a small scale, usually with few plants together and in dispersed mixed orchards. Researchs has been conducted more frequently in the Northeast, where the main producing areas are also found. The present work consists of an updated collection on the main pests of these cultures, containing information based on research works by Brazilian institutions, as well as on observations in the producing regions.
