Abstract: Digital media facilitate the sharing of information and the active production of content, generating visibility and modifying learning environments. Objective: Report the difficulties and potential of creating content for digital media during the Coronavirus pandemic. Methods: Experience report, of a descriptive and qualitative nature, experienced by a group of students and teachers belonging to the Federal University of Piauí – UFPI, in the period of March 2021 to February 2022. Results: The group produced around 67 materials of different formats and themes. The potential of using digital media stands out as the possibility of working on playfulness. Another benefit was the possibility of creating content according to the current needs of the user and region. Among the limitations, it stands out that the absolute values of beneficiaries cannot be fully established and the difficulty in maintaining public attention for a long period of time. Another limitation was the time requirement for creating content. Conclusion: The use of the virtual environment as a health prevention and promotion tool showed the potential to expand health education strategies and the circulation of information, leading to the construction of knowledge.
