Abstract: This article presents a critical reflection about correspondence among training, course conception, and contemporary Architecture and Urbanism conception aiming to verifying Education aspects, properties and attributes that can perform and improving its scope in disciplinary and scientific field and professional performance. With this, it sought to identify the contents and methods for professionals to effectively contribute to urban environmental promotion articulated with ecology, sustainability, and resilience principles in line with 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda. The reflection derives from research carried out in which a systemic and complex worldview was established, having the Nonlinear Theories principles as foundation for understanding the contemporary architecture and urbanism conception and its relationship with creative and design process teaching. The research methodology was based on Design Science Research, through an abductive scientific process and combined with a case study about education and national courses pedagogical structuring. 1 The results encompass the elaboration and conception of a theoretical construct called Systemic and Complex Genetics of Architecture and Urbanism Education, composed by pedagogical principles and structuring elements, understood as capable of breaking pre-established patterns and promoting an environmentally responsive posture in design at its various scales.
