Abstract: The pedagogical possibilities of integrating capoeira into art classes address the significant contribution of this secular artistic and cultural expression as a facilitator for teaching and understanding the body and art in basic education schools. Through a comprehensive bibliographic review, related topics were explored, encompassing the history, physical, cognitive, and socioemotional benefits of the practice, as well as individual experience, with the aim of providing a valuable contribution to the dissemination of the intrinsic values of capoeira, as advocated by Law 10.639/2003. In this context, practical activities were devised and implemented in the school environment through the triangular approach, with the purpose of presenting the foundations of capoeira: its historical significance, musicality, and body movements. It is important to emphasize that the goal is not to train students as capoeira practitioners through this educational experience. The central objective lies in appreciating the cultural richness of Brazil, in which this artistic expression persists as a symbol of resistance over the centuries, thereby highlighting its notable relevance for the formation and preservation of the manifestations of the Brazilian people.
