Abstract: This paper aims to address the so-called digital generation, analyzing its path within the educational environment and reflecting on the challenges and possibilities it represents for teachers. This is a generation made up of young people who grew up in a deeply connected world with easy access to the internet and mobile devices since childhood. Although the use of digital technologies brings countless benefits, its excessive use can harm students' concentration, affecting both the quality of learning and the ability to maintain focus. It can also hinder the development of critical thinking and the organization of ideas in a clear and structured way. The research was conducted through a bibliographical survey, based on studies by authors DOS SANTOS et al. (2023), SANTOS et al. (2024), MORAN et al. (2000) and VIANA (2023) who discuss the impacts of the digital age on education. The results indicate that, even though it offers new possibilities for teaching and learning, technology also poses important challenges to educators, such as the need to acquire digital skills and adapt to different ways of learning of students.
