POSSIBILIDADES ACERCA DO ENSINO DE MATEMÁTICA: UMA RELAÇÃO ENTRE A OBMEP E O SPAECE NOS SERTÕES DE CRATEÚS - CE
Neste artigo se busca evidenciar a relevância da Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas (OBMEP) na melhoria do ensino de matemática. Inicialmente, se faz uma abordagem das olimpíadas do conhecimento, de forma geral, e em seguida um foco especial à
OBMEP, destacando seu formato, níveis, estrutura, premiações e participação. Em seguida, é apresentado o Sistema Permanente de Avaliação da Educação Básica do Ceará (SPAECE), um dos pilares dessa pesquisa, que tem suma importância na evolução do padrão de qualidade do ensino básico cearense. O SPAECE é um referencial importante para se trazer dados a respeito dos índices da educação na região de estudo: os Sertões de Crateús, região localizada no oeste do Ceará. Mais precisamente são os 11 municípios pertencentes à 13ª Coordenadoria Regional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (CREDE 13), subdivisão estratégica da Secretaria de
Educação do Estado do Ceará (SEDUC). Através de um comparativo de dados de resultados da OBMEP e do SPAECE nos municípios da CREDE 13, a pesquisa evidenciou alguns avanços no desempenho dos estudantes da região. A região apresenta um excelente potencial matemático e olímpico a ser explorado, podendo haver melhorias ainda mais consideráveis nesses dados através de esforços conjuntos e mobilizações tais como as que ocorrem para
realizações das avaliações externas como o SPAECE.

Abstract:
This article seeks to highlight the relevance of the Brazilian Public School Mathematics Olympiad (OBMEP) in improving mathematics teaching. Initially, an approach is made to the knowledge olympics, in general, and then a special focus on OBMEP, highlighting its format, levels, structure, awards and participation. Then, the Permanent System of Evaluation of Basic Education in Ceará (SPAECE) is presented, one of the pillars of this research, which is of paramount importance in the evolution of the quality standard of Ceará's basic education. SPAECE is an important reference to bring data about the education indexes in the study region: the Sertões de Crateús, a region located in the west of Ceará. More precisely, they are the 11 municipalities belonging to the 13th Regional Coordination for the Development of Education (CREDE 13), a strategic subdivision of the Secretariat of Education of the State of Ceará (SEDUC). Through a comparison of results data from OBMEP and SPAECE in the municipalities of CREDE 13, the research evidenced some advances in the performance of students in the region. The region has an excellent mathematical and Olympic potential to be explored, and there may be even more considerable improvements in these data through joint efforts and mobilizations such as those taking place to achievements of external evaluations such as SPAECE.
